User Profile

The title of self-proclaimed "artist" is a delusion; that is for others to decide. I see myself more as a kind of agitator. I do not agitate on purpose. I am no narcissistic provocateur out to get society's goat nor am I some infantile nihilist raging against "the machine" or political authority figures (unless Stupidity can be called a machine, or a politic or authority). My agitating is more a gut response to being agitated. I am agitated by the death-eating mediocrity promoted as "Art" by any individual, group or company still wallowing in their own gutless loss of imagination, a tragic side-effect of our current era of mass depersonalization. These perceptions agitate production in the interdependent mediums of writing, cinema and paratheatre, whose products have somehow managed to bypass the humiliating assimilation into mainstream culture. Truth be told, I probably don't have a mainstream bone in my body.
